Albertsons Doublers 8/1 - 8/3

Check out these websites for ideas on how to use your Doublers.

Krazy Coupon Lady

Fabulessly Frugal

Albertsons 7/28 - 8/3

There is not a lot in the ad this week, but multiple people have confirmed Doublers for this weekend good 8/1 - 8/3.  That would make the General Mills promo more enticing at $.60-$.88 per box.  Most of the Procter & Gamble coupons for that promo expire Saturday, but there will be more in the paper this weekend.  I will have the list of coupons for this weekend up on Thursday.

Pinching Your Pennies has their Preview printable shopping list up available Tuesday only.  Starting Wednesday, use this link <Pinching Your Pennies printable shopping list>  to see the coupon match-ups. Go here to see the online ad. Three stars means the price is average, and four or five stars means it is a great bargain, so stock-up while you can.

Albertsons Doublers

Due to Walmart starting to accept Albertsons Doublers in the Boise area, the 5mile and Overland store has started keeping Doublers at the register instead of at customer service.  They had too many people come in the store just to get Doublers to take to Walmart.  Therefore, they are keeping them at registers.  But, they are also giving out as many as you need.  If you do three transactions, they will give you three sets of Doublers to use.  Then you can go back out to your car, come back in, and do three more transactions with Doublers they give you.  Woohoo!  So, now you can shop 'til you drop.  I don't know if it is just the 5mile and Overland store, or if other Albertsons are also doing it this way, but I like it!

Albertsons Doublers 5/16 - 5/18

Fabulessly Frugal is reporting Doublers for Sunday!  They are also reporting that all Albertsons are going to start Doubling "Do not Double" coupons again.  This makes sense, because Doubling a coupon does not affect the manufacturer at all, as a Doubler is a store coupon.  So, check with your store to verify.  I will do the same when I go shopping tomorrow and report what I find out.  These match-ups are from Fabulessly Frugal.  I will ad more ideas when I find them.  Depending on what coupons we get Sunday, there should be more bargains to find.

UPDATE:  There are more products in this promo, when you go to the store, look for the CHILL promotion tags by the products.  I also updated the price on the Hot Pockets.  They are $2 instead of $1.69.

Update on Albertsons General Mills Promo

Fabulessly Frugal posted this about the General Mills Promo at Albertsons:

We've heard from our contact at Five Mile & Overland who has confirmed the catalina WILL print, even IF you use coupons and your total is less than $20. As long as you reach $20 BEFORE coupons, it WILL print.
A few things to consider:

• If the catalina does not print, they will most likely refer to the fine print on the ad
• If the catalina DOES print, but the cashier refuses to give it to use because you used coupons, ask for a manager. They are trained that what prints is the customer's, and if it prints and the customer doesn't want it, then they recycle it (they don't even give it to someone else, or keep it for themselves).
• They have not received anything from corporate advising them to limit coupons

They also posted that there will be Doublers in the ad this Sunday that are valid for a whole week (2/28-3/6).

UPDATE ON THE UPDATE:  So I went to the 5mile and Overland store last night and got a different story from the night crew.  They said that you could try doing the General Mills Promo getting to the $20 before coupons, but that it was not printing for some people that way.  They had a lady come in and buy $20 worth of cereal and fruit snacks and then use coupons to bring the total down from there, but the catalina did not print.  So buyer beware!  If you buy $20 worth of participating items before coupons and the catalina does not print, you are stuck.  However, if you buy $20 worth of participating items after coupons are factored in, they will be able to make a catalina print for you.  I was chicken and didn't want to risk the catalina not printing, so I bought $26 worth of Betty Crocker Muffins (Cinnamon Streusel is my kid's favorite kind) and used $5.50 in coupons to bring the total down to $20.50.  The catalina printed for me.  I just wasn't willing to rist losing the $7 catalina in order to gain $2.34 by calculating the $20 before coupons.
As for the "limit 1 per customer" clause in the ad regarding this promo, the 5mile and Overland store was willing to let people do multiple transactions.  However, they didn't know if the catalina would recognize your Preferred Card and only print 1 catalina per card.  Nobody had tried to do multiple transactions on the Promo, so they didn't know what it would do.
On the positive side, I did get confirmation from one of the employees that they were planning on Doublers this weekend.

More Albertsons Doubler Ideas

I went to Albertsons last night and have a few more ideas for using your Doublers.  Go here to see the original Albertsons post for the week.  I found these at the Overland and 5mile store.  Clearance items will vary by location.

Here is the link for a printable coupon for $1 off 4 canned Del Monte fruits, vegetables, tomatoes, or fruit cup snacks.  You can use this coupon at Albertsons this week with a Doubler.

Scenario:

Buy 4 cans of Del Monte Tomatoes (14.5 oz) or Vegetables (11 - 15.25 oz) $1.00 each

Use $1 off 4 printable

Double

Final Price $.50 apiece

This is a great stock-up price on the tomatoes, but not on the vegetables.  The price I look for on canned corn and green beans is $.30 - $.40, but it is still a decent deal if you are running low and need a few cans.

More Albertsons Doubler Ideas

The 5mile and Overland store has a lot of Cover Girl makeup on clearance for $3.14 including powder and foundation.  Use the coupon for any CoverGirl product  $1/1 (2-28-10) PG-1/17 and Double it for a final price of $1.14.

If you printed the $1 off 1 L'oreal eye product coupon from coupons.com awhile ago, the 5mile and Overland store also had some L'oreal mascara on clearance for $4.24.  Double the coupon, and you get mascara for $2.24.

Clearance items vary by location, so take a look around and see what is on clearance at your store.
