Coupons.com - Print Your Coupons Now

Coupons.com will be updating their coupons during the next couple of days, so print any coupons that you want now.  Next month they may get rid of the coupon or even reset it, so you can print it again.  Click on the coupon bar at the right side of the page or go to coupons.com.   Internet Printable coupons are free to print,  and most of the major retailers accept them (i.e. Walmart, WinCo, Fred Meyer, Albertsons, Walgreens, Target, Rite-Aid).  You will have to download a coupon printer in order to print internet coupons, which is an application that keeps track of how many copies you have printed.  Most coupons you can print two of, so after printing the first copy, hit the BACK button and REFRESH the page to print the second copy.

Update on Albertsons General Mills Promo

Fabulessly Frugal posted this about the General Mills Promo at Albertsons:

We've heard from our contact at Five Mile & Overland who has confirmed the catalina WILL print, even IF you use coupons and your total is less than $20. As long as you reach $20 BEFORE coupons, it WILL print.
A few things to consider:

• If the catalina does not print, they will most likely refer to the fine print on the ad
• If the catalina DOES print, but the cashier refuses to give it to use because you used coupons, ask for a manager. They are trained that what prints is the customer's, and if it prints and the customer doesn't want it, then they recycle it (they don't even give it to someone else, or keep it for themselves).
• They have not received anything from corporate advising them to limit coupons

They also posted that there will be Doublers in the ad this Sunday that are valid for a whole week (2/28-3/6).

UPDATE ON THE UPDATE:  So I went to the 5mile and Overland store last night and got a different story from the night crew.  They said that you could try doing the General Mills Promo getting to the $20 before coupons, but that it was not printing for some people that way.  They had a lady come in and buy $20 worth of cereal and fruit snacks and then use coupons to bring the total down from there, but the catalina did not print.  So buyer beware!  If you buy $20 worth of participating items before coupons and the catalina does not print, you are stuck.  However, if you buy $20 worth of participating items after coupons are factored in, they will be able to make a catalina print for you.  I was chicken and didn't want to risk the catalina not printing, so I bought $26 worth of Betty Crocker Muffins (Cinnamon Streusel is my kid's favorite kind) and used $5.50 in coupons to bring the total down to $20.50.  The catalina printed for me.  I just wasn't willing to rist losing the $7 catalina in order to gain $2.34 by calculating the $20 before coupons.
As for the "limit 1 per customer" clause in the ad regarding this promo, the 5mile and Overland store was willing to let people do multiple transactions.  However, they didn't know if the catalina would recognize your Preferred Card and only print 1 catalina per card.  Nobody had tried to do multiple transactions on the Promo, so they didn't know what it would do.
On the positive side, I did get confirmation from one of the employees that they were planning on Doublers this weekend.

Purex Catalina at Fred Meyer

I read about this deal yesterday on Slick Deals.  At Fred Meyer, they have a catalina running right now on 50 oz Purex laundry detergent.  Here are the details:

Buy Purex 50 oz laundry detergent between 1/11 & 3/7
Buy 2 & get a $4 catalina good on your next shopping order
Buy 3 or more & get a $5 catalina good on your next shopping order

Click here to find out what a catalina is.

This week at Fred Meyer, they have an in-store coupon making the 50 oz Purex $1.99 (limit 2).  There is also a manufacturer's coupon from the 1/10 Red Plum insert for $.35 off 1.

When a catalina prints, a lot of times it is also printing at the other major grocery chains that use catalina machines.  Also, make sure that you purchase the 50 oz.

The Purex is flying off the shelves at Fred Meyer, so if they are out, go to Customer Service and ask for a rain check.  The catalina prints through March 7th, so there is plenty of time to get it later.

JCPenney In-Store Coupon

Click here to print an in-store coupon for $10 off a $25 purchase at JCPenney through February 27th.

More Coupons at Coupons.com

Coupons.com added a bunch of new coupons to print including:  Hillshire Farms, Scrubbing Bubbles, Right Guard, Lunchables, and Kellogg's.  Check the coupon bar on the right side of the page or go to coupons.com.

Here is the link for a printable coupon for $1 off 4 canned Del Monte fruits, vegetables, tomatoes, or fruit cup snacks.  You can use this coupon at Albertsons this week with a Doubler.

Scenario:

Buy 4 cans of Del Monte Tomatoes (14.5 oz) or Vegetables (11 - 15.25 oz) $1.00 each

Use $1 off 4 printable

Double

Final Price $.50 apiece

This is a great stock-up price on the tomatoes, but not on the vegetables.  The price I look for on canned corn and green beans is $.30 - $.40, but it is still a decent deal if you are running low and need a few cans.

January Budget Review

It's a week into the new month, and I haven't posted my Monthly Budget Review, mostly because I went way over budget on groceries in January.  My husband and I started the new year on Weight Watchers, and I had to stock up on foods that were low in calories and fat.  Some of the foods that I stocked up on are:  low fat deli sliced meats, Walmart's Great Value brand sugar free gelatin (only 20 calories per box), Skinny Cows (bought 10 boxes at Costco with a coupon at a great price), Lean Pockets, Lean Cuisine meals, fresh fruits and vegetables, Weight Watchers yogurt (found at Walmart), and low fat popcorn.

I haven't spent this much money on groceries since I started couponing, but I had to basically rethink everything that I was buying in the past.  Some of the items were on sale or were bought with coupons, but some of it had to be bought at full price (60 boxes of Walmart's gelatin at $.38 apiece).  So, now that I have more healthly foods stocked up, February should get back to normal.  The good thing though is that our eating-out expenses were only a fraction of what they had been in the past.  Normally we have $100 set aside each month to order in pizza on Friday nights, but we only spent $40 of that in January.  Instead of ordering in pizza, we have been making the kids frozen pizza, while we have a Lean Cuisine or Lean Pocket.

Total spent on coupons $23.35 ($20 for 8 Sunday papers for 5 weeks and $3.35 on Quaker coupons from Ebay)
Total value of coupons used $145.70 (only includes newspaper coupons, does not include Internet Printable coupons that I don't pay for)
